Connexions
Connexions is the statutory youth support service for all young people 13 - 19, and to 25 for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities in England. Local authorities have the statutory responsibility for Connexions and its commissioning.
Better Choices delivers the Connexions Service in four local authority areas: Manchester, Rochdale, Salford and Tameside.
A Connexions Manager whose role is to work with partner organisations to develop and implement strategic and delivery plans in the local authority area manages each Service.
Cnx2 jobs
We have a vacancy service and website called cnx2 jobs that enables young people throughout Greater Manchester to look for and apply for vacancies on-line. The vacancies displayed include jobs, apprenticeships and personal development opportunities from the ten areas within Greater Manchester that are known to the local Connexions services.
Development
We provide consultancy support to schools and colleges to develop their CEIAG strategies that is underpinned by a comprehensive annual Training and Development programme.
Information
We provide consultancy support to schools and colleges to develop their information provision that is underpinned by training for staff and students; and access to a central information resource library.
